Kyle Walker says the way Manchester City fought back after going behind twice at Lyon, is a testament to the character of the team.City had to equalize twice to draw at Lyon, a team that pulled off an upset with a 2-1 win at the Etihad in September, and Walker is proud of the character and the fighting spirit his side displayed.Maxwel Cornet opened the scoring for Lyon 10 minutes into the second half, but Aymeric Laporte equalized seven minutes later.Memphis Depay provided an assist for Cornet to grab his second goal of the game in the 81st minute, before Sergio Aguero equalized 7 minutes from regular time, as both sides settle for a point each.“They gave us a good game at the Etihad so we knew it would be a tough game,” Walker told the club’s website.Report: City are stunned by Norwich George Patchias – September 14, 2019 Manchester City was stunned by Norwich City in todays Premier League clash.Much has been made in recent days of the potential impact of Aymeric…“They have good players in good areas and quick players but we got a good draw.“That shows the character and belief in the dressing room. Important players come good at the right time.“Lyon are technically good and quick and strong, that’s why they hurt us at the Etihad and that’s why we had a point to prove.“There are still things we have to work on, it is completely different to Premier League. Still, things we need to switch on to. But we’re through and hopefully, we can get a good draw.”
