CELEBRATIONS IN THE ROSSES AS NAOMH MUIRE LAND INTERMEDIATE TITLE

first_imgTHERE are celebrations in the Rosses tonight after Naomh Muire won today’s Intermediate Championship title in a fine final win over St Naul’s at O’Donnell Park, Letterkenny. In the end the Annagry men had six points to spare, winning on a scoreline of 1-13 to 1-07.The Yank Boyles did most of the damage, Shaun scoring the early first half goal, leaving his marker and firing past Lee McBrearty. When Harry Harden had a chance of a second goal, his effort was blocked by an illegal foot challenge, but Paul Yank Boyle had his penalty saved. It was a let off for St Naul’s who went in at half-time trailing 1-06 to 0-05.Shaun and Paul both pointed at the start of the second half and it was all Naomh Muire after that.St Naul’s James Flynn bagged a goal in the dying seconds but it was merely a consolation. St Naul’s can look forward to Division 2 football next year and there is little doubt that Naomh Muire deserved today’s championship. CELEBRATIONS IN THE ROSSES AS NAOMH MUIRE LAND INTERMEDIATE TITLE was last modified: October 13th, 2013 by John2Share this:Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)Click to share on Reddit (Opens in new window)Click to share on Pocket (Opens in new window)Click to share on Telegram (Opens in new window)Click to share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)Click to share on Skype (Opens in new window)Click to print (Opens in new window)last_img read more
