Chautauqua County Man Busted For Allegedly Grown Marijuana

first_imgMGN Stock Image.PORTLAND – A Chautauqua County man is facing felony charges after the Sheriff’s Office says he was busted for allegedly grown marijuana last month.The Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force says their investigation started on August 20 after investigators seized several marijuana plants from 28-year-old Caleb Daniels’ mobile home on Route 5 in the Town of Portland.Deputies allege that Daniels grew over 8 ounces of the drug, upgrading the charges to a felony.Daniels was issued severed appearance tickets on Tuesday for third-degree felony criminally growing marijuana, and unlawfully growing marijuana. Deputies say he is scheduled to appear in the Town of Portland Court on a later date.The Sheriff’s Office encourages the public to report any illegal drug activity to their office at (716) 664-2420.
