Congratulations to Lawrenceburg’s Mason Parris for winning his 3rd consecutive state wrestling title. Competing in the 220 lb. weight class, he went undefeated for the 3rd consecutive year. Mason’s only defeat in high school came in the state finals his freshman year. He lost a one-point decision to a wrestler from Penn High School.Mason’s dominance in wrestling is matched by his football feats. He was a linebacker and sometimes running back for the Tigers. He would dominate high school hurdles in track if it weren’t for Batesville’s Garrett Wagner. Mason is definitely an all-round athlete. He has decided to concentrate on wrestling at Michigan University.Part of this information came from WRBI sports and also from various area newspapers.
